Donna A. Bendokas

My paintings are done on canvas with oil pastels.  The forms that emerge are organic and fluid.  Over time, I layer colors of oil pastel, playing with the results, sometimes quickly and at other times painstakingly.  I often work from nature but always with emotion, letting the creative process intertwine with knowledge, often spontaneously producing the finished piece.  The final work is never preconceived.  Creating a piece of art brings me an indescribable feeling of peace and joy.  My artwork is always an intricate and personal statement.
